I’m very proud to say that I’ve finished my course at General Assembly!  It feels really good to achieve a goal; so far, 2017 has been the year of the slay-age! I’ve been keeping busy by looking for jobs this past month and half and practicing the skills that I’ve learned. The folks at GA have been very helpful with career coaching – answering any questions that I have and doing mock interviews, both technical and non-tech related.  If you are a career-switcher (or beginner), I’d definitely recommend hiring a career coach if you think you need some help. I have been so busy these last few weeks that I’ve not been able to post!  We have one more lesson tomorrow, and then our final project on whatever tech we’d like to use. In the last few weeks we’ve learned Ruby, Ruby on Rails and completed a group project. My group did a wedding planner project which was fun to work on, and came together quite well considering!   This week we’re learning React, which is hard to wrap my head around, but I know all I need is reps and practice.  I’d love to be able to get that down as much as Javascript.
