I’m very proud to say that I’ve finished my course at General Assembly!  It feels really good to achieve a goal; so far, 2017 has been the year of the slay-age!

I’ve been keeping busy by looking for jobs this past month and half and practicing the skills that I’ve learned. The folks at GA have been very helpful with career coaching – answering any questions that I have and doing mock interviews, both technical and non-tech related.  If you are a career-switcher (or beginner), I’d definitely recommend hiring a career coach if you think you need some help. Practice makes perfect, and working with someone who does this as a profession helps in many ways! They will make you aware of your strengths, weaknesses, give advice and help build confidence. You might surprise yourself and realize you have way more potential than you think. Imposter syndrome is SO real!

Since it’s summer here in New York, I’ve been trying to enjoy it as much as possible. It’s been ridiculously hot lately, so walking has been unbearable, but it’s nice to hit the beach!  I’ve also been trying to go to free events, such as photography workshops, food festivals, and visiting friends more. I’ll post more when I get some projects done. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer (in the northern hemisphere) 🙂

Last day of my web development bootcamp today! I’ve (re)learned so much in three months. It’s been a roller coaster . Now onto going to many Meetups and finding a job. If anyone has word of web developer positions, please let me know! Thank you for my family and friends support throughout all of this!
